Memorial services for retired Fire Chief Phil Seaton will be held Sunday, February 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2855 Ouachita Road 3 in Camden. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
Chief Seaton died Wednesday, February 14, 2024, age 77. He retired from the Camden Fire Department in 2009 after 36 years of service, including 17 as Fire Chief. In addition to Fire Chief, he also served in numerous other roles of distinction related to the fire service, including being a past President of both the Arkansas Fire Chiefs Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs Southwestern Division. In 2009, he was inducted into the Arkansas State Firefighters Association Hall of Fame.
