Three firefighters with the Camden Fire Department recently received promotions to new positions.
- Aaron Morris has been promoted to Assistant Chief from Captain. Assistant Chief Morris has nine years of service with the department.
- Justin Wiggins has been promoted to Captain from Lieutenant. Captain Wiggins has nine years of service with the department.
- Kyle Rogers has been promoted to Lieutenant from Driver-Operator. Lieutenant Rogers has eight years of service with the department.
Promotions in the department are conducted in a competitive process under the authority of the Camden Civil Service Commission. This process includes testing, interviews, and reviews of firefighters’ continuing education, training, and experience.
The Camden Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency rescue services to the city of Camden, Arkansas, with 28 paid firefighters. The department also performs emergency rescues throughout Ouachita County.
