This week, from Monday, March 25, through Friday, March 29, the Camden Water Utilities will conduct its annual flushing of water mains across the city. The CWU will use fire hydrants throughout the city to flow water to remove the buildup of various sediments in water pipes.
The water flush may cause discolored water to appear from faucets — customers should flow water from cold taps (not hot) until the water clears, and use caution when doing laundry, as any discolored water may stain clothes. It will be normal to see unattended hydrants flowing water throughout the city during this time.
