Fire Stations Closed to Public Access Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Camden Fire Department has closed public access to all of its fire stations until further notice.

As first responders, firefighters are unfortunately far more likely to come into contact with individuals who are infected with COVID-19. Therefore, to protect both firefighters and our community, only those with essential fire department business will be allowed to enter our fire stations.

As always, in the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1! The Camden Fire Department will continue to respond to all emergency situations as needed. Be aware that dispatchers and first responders may ask you about your recent health and travel. This is to allow us to bring the proper equipment to better protect ourselves and others — you will still receive appropriate service, care, and treatment!

Currently, burn permits, annual commercial business inspections, public education programs, and other non-emergency fire department activities have been canceled. The timing of the resumption of these activities will depend on scientific information and guidance on the spread of COVID-19.

Once again, we request that you do not visit our stations unless you have essential fire department business. Non-emergency questions, requests for incident reports, and other department business should be conducted by phone by calling Central Station at (870) 836-2413.
